Southern Connecticut Storm falls under the blanket of the American Special Hockey Association. American Special Hockey Programs have been established in cities throughout the United States. American Special Hockey is a Therapeutic program for people with Developmental Disabilities and uses the game of Ice Hockey to teach critical life skills in an environment which is adapted to the level of ability in which the athletes are able to participate.
